You probably know that I am not a career preacher. For over 20 years, a partner and I owned a construction company that became very successful. Our company built upper-scale homes and small commercial buildings. I remember during a building downturn several of the contractors in our area didn't have work, but we had seven upper scale homes under construction. Our company used Biblical principles to make our business very successful.
In January of 1994, I started into full-time ministry. At the urging of several church leaders, I sold my part of the construction company and got out of the business world... for awhile. Around the year 2001 my pastor, Bishop Don Meares, who is a multi-millionaire, gave me one verse of Scripture that changed my life. It was Proverbs 13:22. A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children. He then asked me if I was a good man.
I had some money, a home, and owned some nice things but in no way could have left an inheritance to my grandchildren. He encouraged me to look into the business world again, and I did. Since then, Kelli and I have become millionaires and have a steady flow of income from business and investments. I am currently the president of three corporations and have two LLCs that hold assets of around ten million dollars.
In addition to our personal success in business, God gave me the ability to make two business deals in which the proceeds completely paid off our ministry property. It's the property our church and ministry headquarters is on, and it is worth about five million dollars.
I have spent over 30 years studying Biblical prosperity laws and applying them to my life. They work! They worked for me before I pastored a church, and they are working in my life now. They will work for you, too.
