Dr. Charles Vance is the Senior Pastor of EMPOWERED CHURCH, a ministry celebrating its 46th anniversary!  EMPOWERED CHURCH is housed in its 40,000 square feet, debt free ministry headquarters in Barboursville, WV.

After years of ministry administration, teaching, and preaching, Charles became the full-time pastor of EMPOWERED CHURCH in 1994. In the same year, God did a miraculous healing in his body- he was healed of lymphoma. Since that time, God has healed hundreds through the ministry of EMPOWERED CHURCH.

Rev. Tony Vance

No one would have thought that God could use a shy, humble young man named Tony Vance to preach the Gospel. But 46 years later, the church he started is still a haven for the broken and hurting and a home for those hungry for the Word of God.

In 1963, burning with a passion for God's Word and for souls, Pastor Emeritus Tony Vance answered the call on his life and began neighborhood prayer meetings. By June of that same year, he established a church in Barboursville, WV.

Under his dedication and hard work, the church experienced great things: multiple building projects, the incorporation of the ministry, and the launch of EMPOWERED CHURCH onto both radio and television!

Pastor Tony also set an important precedence in the ministry. He is hungry for the Word of God and for the outpouring of His Spirit in the Church. He believes everyday, ordinary people can be touched and used by God. He loves people with a tangible love that still blesses our ministry today!
